上海交通大学李政道图书馆实现了图书馆（学术研究服务）、档案馆（史料典藏保存）、博物馆（科学精神传播）、科技馆（科普教育推广）、艺术馆（科艺育人服务）五馆合一的功能定位。

吉祥物作为场馆视觉识别系统的重要组成部分，代表着李政道图书馆五馆合一的形象是在广大群众，特别是大中小学生中推广李政道图书馆内涵的重要载体。为进一步增强李政道图书馆文化软实力和品牌影响力，完善李政道图书馆视觉识别体系，特征集李政道图书馆吉祥物设计创意。

有关事项公告如下：

一、组织机构

主办单位：上海交通大学李政道图书馆

二、活动时间

征集时间：2021年9月10日至2022年2月15日

评审时间：2022年2月16日至2022年3月15日

评选公布时间：2022年4月

三、征集对象

对本次征集活动感兴趣且自愿遵守本次征集活动全部要求的自然人、法人和其他组织，均可单独或联合参加本次征集活动。

四、设计要求

1.形象健康向上、造型美观生动、色彩搭配和谐、特征鲜明、构思新颖、易于记忆、具独特意义且没有歧义；

2.具有较强的可塑性，形象应具有实用性，易于媒介传播和形象再创作，易于转化为实物，易于二次开发等；

3.能体现李政道图书馆五馆合一的特点。

五、评选程序

本次活动采取公开征集与定向征集相结合的方式。本着公开、公正、公平的原则，主办单位将组织网络投票。由主办单位指定的文化、艺术、传播等方面专家，结合网络投票结果进行初评。初评将选出36件作品作为设计入围方案，最终由主办单位会同专家从中评选1件作品为上海交通大学李政道图书馆吉祥物最佳设计创意。

六、奖项设置

征集活动将在36件入围方案中，分别评选出一二三等奖及优秀奖。

一等奖1名，奖金10000元，并颁发荣誉证书；

二等奖5名，奖金2000元，并颁发荣誉证书；

三等奖10名，奖金1000元，并颁发荣誉证书；

优秀奖20名，赠送纪念品，并颁发荣誉证书。

七、投稿办法

（一）投稿要求

1.吉祥物设计需提供电子设计稿或纸质设计稿（推荐电子版本）正面、侧面以及背面设计图、吉祥物名称及设计理念说明，要求图像画面清晰，以作品原图格式提交：

·电子设计稿为彩色设计图稿（JPG和PSD或AI等格式，不低于300dpi）；

·手绘形式作品以A4纸张大小为宜，并且扫描成电子版（JPG格式）提交；

·吉祥物设计理念说明（WORD格式）。

2.每一套应征作品材料均包含电子版：《上海交通大学李政道图书馆吉祥物设计创意征集报名表》、《上海交通大学李政道图书馆吉祥物设计创意征集参赛作品版权承诺书》。

（二）投稿方式

1.电子稿件发送至电子邮箱：TDLee.Lib@sjtu.edu.cn。文件名及电子邮件主题名请按照“上海交通大学李政道图书馆吉祥物设计创意征集+联系人姓名+联系方式”命名，以附件形式上传。

八、其他声明

设计方案必须原创，不能是已发表作品，或是对任何他人作品的复制、修改、改编、演绎等。设计方案应当能够申请知识产权保护，不得引起任何对中国文化和价值观的误读与偏见，不得具有宗教内涵，不得与任何第三方的标志、商标、品牌等产生关联或联想。

本活动不收报名费，所投应征作品材料概不退还，应征作品请投稿人自留底稿。有关作品著作权的处置按《上海交通大学李政道图书馆吉祥物设计创意征集参赛作品版权承诺书》内容执行。

The Tsung-Dao Lee Library at Shanghai Jiao Tong University serves as a multifunctional institution that provides access to information and resources as a library, an archive, a biographical museum, a science museum, and an art gallery.

As a crucial part of the Visual Identity System (VIS), the Mascot plays a key role in communicating the multifunctional image of the Library and reflecting its quintessence to the public, especially to students of all ages. In hopes of further strengthening the cultural influence of the venue, Tsung-Dao Lee Library now holds the Mascot Design Competition and invites your submissions.

II. Timeline

Submissions: September 10 to October 10, 2021

Selection: October 11 to October 30, 2021

Final Announcement: November, 2021

III. Eligibility

Any natural person, legal person, or organization that is interested and that abides by the rules is eligible to compete in the Mascot Design Competition either by individual or by group.

IV. Requirements of Design

1. The Mascot design should be healthy, lively, proportional, original, memorable, and convey clear messages.

2. The Mascot design should be integrable, applicable, and malleable for multimedia representation, physical representation, and artistic reworkings.

3. The Mascot design should convey the Library’s multifunctionality, namely a library, an archive, a biographical museum, a science museum, and an art gallery.

V. Selection Procedures

The Competition is open to both public and invited submissions. On the principles of openness, fairness, and equity, the Library will organize a poll on the Internet. Based on the poll results, the experts in the fields of culture, art, and communications appointed by the Library will conduct the first round of selection. 36 entries will be shortlisted, from which the Library together with the experts will decide on the sole winner of the Competition.

VI. Awards

The shortlisted 36 entries will be judged and awarded accordingly:

First Prize (1 entry): 10,000 RMB and Certificate of Honor;

Second Prize (5 entries): 2,000 RMB and Certificate of Honor;

Third Prize (10 entries): 1,000 RMB and Certificate of Honor;

Honorable Mentions (20 entries): Souvenirs and Certificate of Honor.

VII. Submission Guidelines

1. Submission Requirements

a. The electronic or paper design (electronic versions recommended) should include front, side, and back designs, the Mascot name, and design concept descriptions. All images submitted should be clear and in the original format.

- Electronic designs should be in color, in the format of JPG, PSD, or AI, and no less than 300 dpi;

- Hand-drawn designs (A4 paper size preferred) should be submitted in their scanned version in the format of JPG;

- Design concept descriptions should be submitted in the format of WORD.

b. Submissions should also include the two electronic forms:

- “Shanghai Jiao Tong University Tsung-Dao Lee Library Mascot Design Competition Entry Form”

- “Shanghai Jiao Tong University Tsung-Dao Lee Library Mascot Design Competition Copyright Declaration”

2. Submission Method

All submissions should be sent electronically to TDLee.Lib@sjtu.edu.cn.

The file of design and the email should be named in the manner of “SJTU TDL Library Mascot Design Competition + Name of Competitor + Contact Information.” All files should be attached to the email.

VIII.  Disclaimer

The submitted design must be original and unpublished, and must not be a copy, modification, adaptation, or interpretation of any existing works. The design should be able to apply for intellectual property protection and should not cause any misinterpretation of or prejudice against Chinese culture and values. The design must bear no religious connotations nor associations with any third-party logos, trademarks, or brands.

No application fee will be charged for entry in the Competition. Please keep your own copy of submitted designs as all materials submitted will not be returned. Exercises of the copyright of submitted designs will be in accordance with “Shanghai Jiao Tong University Tsung-Dao Lee Library Mascot Design Competition Copyright Declaration.”
